MEET THE FAMILIES:

If you're interested in walking alongside one of these amazing families please click here for more information!
Family #1 - Located in Red Rock, TX
These parents have opened their home to their biological grandchild, a four-year-old little girl. They would mainly benefit from financial support through monthly care packages, winter clothing items, new clothes, school supplies, and babysitting so that mom can have some time to herself to explore her foster journey.

♡ Matched ♡ Family #2 - Located in North Round Rock
This family has 4 kiddos! They have a 4 year old daughter, a 7 year old son, a 7 year old foster daughter, and a 10 year old son! They have been having a tough time caring for the sweet girl placed in their home. They have felt very alone in this journey and would love someone who is willing to go through the babysit certification process with their agency. They have plenty of people who can watch their biological children but not many people in their life who have completed the process to watch her. They would need a volunteer that has a lot of patience and possibly experience working with children with Autism. We would like to get them connected to some support as soon as possible!

Family #3 - Located in Copperas Cove
This family is inspiring. They have six children! There are four girls, 2,  3, 11, and 18 years old, and two boys, 5 and 19 years old. This couple always knew they wanted to foster and enrich as many children's lives as possible. They have overcome some obstacles regarding their foster daughter and have always overcome as a family. They would love a volunteer that can support the family through relational support. The parents would love to talk with a volunteer that can empathize with the obstacles of being a foster parent. They would also love a volunteer who could support the family through playdates with their children, tutoring, mentorship, taking the kids to do fun activities, and babysitting. The family would love time to grow and foster relationships with each other and their volunteer.

Family #4 - Located in Gatesville
Just a super amazing retired couple. They have opened their home to children in the foster care system who have special needs. They currently have 5 children in their home; two babies, two 3 year olds, and an 18 year old. They would appreciate any and all support, but especially babysitting and care packages. Any volunteer for this family would need to be comfortable meeting the kid's unique needs.

Family #5 - Located in Harker Heights
This amazing husband and wife have three older biological children (15) (23) (25)  and have recently started fostering two boys ages 4 and 6 years old. They also have a 6-month-old with them they are hoping to adopt. They enjoy the outdoors and being active. The younger boys would benefit greatly from some age-appropriate toys like superheroes, army men, legos, and books. Along with other financial needs like clothes and monthly care packages. The family would love a volunteer that can offer relational support by empathizing with them and providing the occasional babysitting so they can have a date night.

Family #6 - Located in South Austin
These parents have 7 boys (ages: 6 months, 6 months, 18 months, 7, 11, 15, and 16.) They also have one girl who is 6! This amazing family originally was a licensed foster home and took in one young kiddo. They adopted that first placement and after several months they received two of his siblings and just a few months ago they received two more siblings of his. Currently they have 3 biological kiddos and a sibling set of 5 they are in the process of adopting all of the kids! Due to Texas law once a home has more than 6 kids they can't be a licensed foster home. This means that despite having 8 amazing kids, they don't receive support from the state. Because of this their biggest needs are for financial support and relational support! They would love if someone could bring meals or gift cards by and sometimes take the older kids out to do fun activities that they can't do with the littles!

An important note is that the two youngest were born very premature and have significant medical needs!

Family #7 - Located in Round Rock
This family has been fostering for nearly a decade! The home consists of four children ranging in age from 5 to 18. The family would benefit from emotional support and occasional care packages. She would also appreciate a volunteer for two 18-year-olds. Volunteering could consist of educational support, outdoor recreational activities, and date nights.

Family #8 - Located in Salado
The husband and wife have a huge heart for kiddos and have worked in residential homes, and just opened their home for the first time for fostering. The kids are 1 and 3 years old, and they have two biological children of their own. The kiddos in the family experience some medical conditions that can make participating in activities challenging for the family. They would love a loving, caring volunteer and want to be involved with the family. Fostering can be a lonely experience for new foster parents, and the family would love a volunteer to provide healthy snacks and meals. Also, support regarding financial needs like grocery gift cards, baby supplies, diapers, etc. Overall a volunteer can wrap their arms around this fantastic family and help build community.

Family #9 - Located in San Marcos
The family consists of a  grandmother and two girls, eight and fifteen years old, that would love strong Christian women in their life. They would primarily benefit from care packages and financial assistance. The family would benefit from a volunteer who has a strong relationship with Christianity. Some helpful resources for the family would be riding bikes, bible readings, and help with babysitting so grandma can spend more time with her teenager.

Family #10 - Located in South West Austin
This is a super sweet family. These parents accepted placement of a 15 year old boy 6 months ago. They love having him in their home and hope to adopt him. That being said, parenting a 15 year old boy keeps them very busy. They would love a volunteer who could bring a meal over once a month and just spend time with them. Their son is on our waitlist for a dare to dream mentor so he will be getting connection from that program, so we hope that the caregivers can get some connection and support from their love box volunteer(s.)
